Overview

We begin our day with a fascinating visit to the important Monastery of Osios Patapios. He is known for his many miracles helping people. The monastery has a breathtaking view to both Corinthian and Saronic Gulf.

Then explore a region of rare natural beauty in Blue Lake, an amazing lagoon located 3km east of Cape Heraion. The most interesting fact about the lake is that communicates with the waters of the Corinthian Gulf from a very narrow channel .Enjoy your lunch by the sea in a fish tavern.

Afterwards, drive to the Cape Heraion where the ruins of the ancient settlement and of the famous sanctuary of Hera are located. The location is really picturesque with a small, natural harbor and people swimming surrounded by antiquity. Back to Loutraki.
