Overview

We depart in the morning from Loutraki area and after one hour we will be in Diakopto where from we are going to take the cog railway(odontotos)to Kalavryta.

Cog Railway (Odontotos) which links Kalavryta with Diakopto going through Vouraikos Canyon, is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Greece. It has been mentiοned as the most beautiful train trip in Balkans. The journey takes one hour.

Visit the Monastery of Mega Spileo built on the wild and steep side of a 120-metre high rocky hill with a unique view from the monastery’s balcony

Our next visit, the unique cave of the lakes, a rare creation of nature. Wander around its mysterious galleries and multicolour chambers, and admire impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations. What makes this cave quite unique is an unusual formation of cascading lakes that form three different levels within its mouth!

Finally, we stop for lunch at Kalavryta, a charming small town  with a plenty of historical and religious sights.
